PROJECT CYCLE PROJECT INITIATIVE – 2024

Data collection efforts to support Compassion International’s Project Cycle Adoption (PCA) initiative across 27 counties in Kenya. The PCA initiative aims to empower partner churches to design and implement contextually relevant child development interventions through a participatory approach.

Client/Partner: Compassion International

To efficiently, ethically, and culturally sensitively collect data that would provide Compassion International with the necessary insights to tailor their child development programs to the specific needs of the communities they serve.

Scope of Work:

  • Developed and implemented data collection protocols and tools.
  • Recruited and trained data collection teams across 27 counties.
  • Managed and oversaw data collection activities, ensuring quality and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Cleaned and prepared the collected data for analysis.

Implementation Approach:

  • Emphasized ethical and culturally sensitive data collection practices.
  • Ensured efficient data collection across a large geographical area.
  • Focused on providing high-quality data to inform program design.

Outcomes & Impact:  Comprehensive data on the specific needs and challenges faced by children and families in 27 counties which directly informed the development of more contextually relevant and impactful child development programs.

Challenges & Solutions: Challenges in coordinating data collection across a large number of locations and ensuring data quality would be discussed, along with the solutions implemented.
