ORGANISATIONAL CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT, JOB EVALUATION, AND RESULTS-BASED MANAGEMENT (2021-2025)

A multi-phase exercise conducted for three organizations in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Kenya, focusing on enhancing organizational capacity, developing fair and legally compliant job evaluation systems, and establishing results-based management frameworks.

Project Goals & Objectives: To deliver a robust, fair, and legally compliant job evaluation system tailored to each client’s unique operational and strategic context, while also strengthening their overall organizational capacity and embedding results-based management principles.

Scope of Work:

  • Phase 1-10: Incorporated a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Included benchmarking against industry best practices.
  • Conducted comprehensive job analysis.
  • Performed thorough organizational reviews.
  • Facilitated inclusive stakeholder consultations.

Implementation Approach:

  • Employed a structured ten-phase methodology ensuring a comprehensive and participatory process.
  • Integrated benchmarking, job analysis, organizational reviews, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Utilized a mixed-methods approach to gather diverse data and perspectives.

Outcomes & Impact: Developed and implemented a new job grading and salary structure for each of the three organizations, leading to improved internal equity and employee satisfaction. We provided tailored capacity building workshops on results-based management, enhancing the organizations’ ability to track and measure their impact more effectively.
